We've been in New Haven with our current establishment for 6 years. Our journey began with my grandmother opening Marisa’s Restaurant in Bridgeport, CT in 1988. After outgrowing our roots in Bridgeport, we moved Marisa’s to Trumbull, CT for 21 years, opening in March of 1997. After many years, my father, Chef Attilio Marini, took over the family business and opened Cast Iron Chef Chophouse in New Haven Ct, where we've been blessed to be for 6 years now. Chef Attilio is a self-taught amazing chef who has perfected his craft through the years by simple trial and error. From reading in magazines to watching cooking shows, he has taken everything he has seen and read and applied it to his own unique technique. Chef Atillio has two daughters, Jeanette and Lauren Marini. Being the eldest daughter of an amazing chef, I often found myself working in the family business and wanted to share all the amazing food that I grew up on with people like you! We thought it was about time that we brought the magic of cast iron cooking right to you! Our food will be cooked and served fresh for you right in your backyard. No warmers, no pre-cooked food, just whole natural ingredients, lots of love and passion, and hot cast iron skillets.
